On the Frontier: Early Migration into Western New York
Western New York was once a frontier, full of opportunity. This presentation will explore the lives of early settlers, where they came from, and why they chose this land. Come learn how the region grew—and how your ancestors might have been part of that story.


Bio -  Kaitlyn Pauley is a professional genealogist and former educator, originally from Western New York and now based in West Virginia. She is a graduate of BYU-Idaho’s Family History Research Program and ProGen 66. She serves on the board of the Western New York Genealogical Society and the Virginia Genealogical Society and volunteers with the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) and the GRIP Genealogy Institute. Kaitlyn owns Pauley Genealogy and specializes in genealogical research in New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
