Across the Hudson: Garden State Records for Your New York Ancestor presented by Michelle Tucker Chubenko
The Hudson River and Kittatinny mountains were often traversed by New Yorkers to work, get married or divorced, visit family, and perform other activities in their lives. From colonial times through current events, New York and New Jersey have often shared an intertwined, common history. Two particular areas along the states’ borders offer opportunities to find ancestors’ lives straddled across these invisible lines. This presentation will highlight popular and obscure record sets to document your ancestor’s life events in New Jersey.
